Mitch Wilson

Mitch grew up on the Central Coast of NSW and has recently returned to Australia from 4 years of practising Physiotherapy in Canada. He spends most of his spare time in the kitchen cooking and is an enthusiast of all things coffee and craft beer.

When it comes to Physiotherapy, Mitch loves to get in the trenches with his clients. He helps them unpack what is going on with their bodies diagnostically and supports clients to make changes for good. Mitch is motivated by finding the underlying cause of dysfunction to teach and empower his patients to understand their body and ultimately having the tools to self manage.

Growing up in and around Pilates, Mitch uses Pilates in conjunction with Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to rehabilitate the body. He sees Pilates as a tool box for strengthening and exploring movement to build both muscle and neural pathways. Mitch gets ultimate gratification when he sees his patients truly understand what their body can do and have the strength to pull it off.

MATT BARKER

Matt grew up in the eastern suburbs and has always been involved in sport ever since he was able to stand. This experience and enthusiasm in sport and exercise made it an easy choice for him to go down the physio path, especially after getting many injuries of his own. He found he was able to pair his passion for sport with helping others and gets a lot of joy out of seeing others achieve their own personal goals.

Matt worked at BIM in the early stages of the clinic before making the move to London for 4 years and honing his skill even further with some of the best Connect Therapy practitioners in the UK.

He thoroughly enjoys getting athletes of all forms and levels back to doing what they love and has a special interest in treating runners. He finds it really important to have an active role in recovery and has a knack for getting to the cause of issues really quickly and making long lasting change from there.

When he’s not working you’ll find Matt at the beach, going to a gig, running/playing sport of some kind or having a laugh with friends and family.

Nick Carr

Nick has always had a fascination with how things work; be it machines, toys, or the human body! Having played sport since he could walk, this led Nick to wanting to know as much about the human body as possible and down the path to physiotherapy.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys playing soccer, cricket, and generally being outdoors. On the weekend, you’ll find Nick outside, with friends, and watching the Wests Tigers struggle through another season.

Nick enjoys working with people from all walks of life. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or someone who just likes to be fit and active because it makes you feel good, as long as you have the motivation and drive to get better Nick loves to help you.

Nick loves to find out why people have become injured in the first place, not just focusing on what is bothering you now. Nick believes one of the key factors behind long term recovery is moving well and being strong enough to make sure you can move in the right way.
